State Classified Hourly No Description of Work Unit

Trade Maintenance Services exist to support Facilities Management, Administration Services Division, and Colorado State University strategic plans. To provide, within the limit of its allocated resources, quality trades maintenance services, which includes all structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, and small construction project management. These services are to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing and functional environment that meets or exceeds the University’s needs for instruction, research, and outreach.

Access Services exists to provide quality services including but not limited to security, intrusion, panic, and fire alarm systems as well as card access, video systems that contribute to the safety, security, convenience, and quality for the benefit of the University community to support the goals and objectives of the University, Facilities Services and Trades Maintenance Services.

Position Summary

This position exists to develop, operate, and manage the Software House Ccure Card Access Systems on Campus. This position regularly makes complex decisions at the operational or process level. The results of such decisions serve to preserve the integrity and reliability of Card Access platforms and serve to follow Policy and code compliance, creating a safe, comfortable and secure campus environment.

The primary function of this position is assist the Access Services Supervisor in managing campus Card Access Systems, its infrastructure and advanced programming associated with Software House Ccure and Northern Computer WinPAK and to provide the same for the University’s CCTV Video Systems. Secondary duties are to provide support services to those individuals within Access Servicesservicing Intrusion and Panic alarms systems, the Bosch Network Receiver, and Sound/Scoreboard Systems.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials:

Two (2) years of keyless entry and security system experience.

Education And Experience

Essential Job Duties

Job Duty Category Card Access Systems Management Duty/Responsibility

Develop, install, program and maintain the Ccure i-Star

control equipment and the Northern Computer WinPAK control equipment. Maintains current programming infrastructure including the Ccure 9000 Administrative Station (software), security subnet computer, ICU tools, laptop computer and troubleshooting tools. Performs System administration of

Ccure i-Star panels, programming parameters and end user processes of

such use. Interface with CSUPD dispatchers and staff to provide training and understanding of Ccure monitoring station software. Implements methods to make the existing card access platforms more reliable and cost effective.

Participates in planning and establishment of migration process from legacy systems and devices to the online 9000 platform.

Percentage Of Time 35% Job Duty Category Card Access Installations and Programming Duty/Responsibility

Provide, assist and carry out an installation schedule for cardkey access systems for campus client base and specifically for Facilities Management RCS (Remodel and Construction Services). Including quotes, bid documentation, construction, T&V and warranty phases and procedures to maximize

electronic systems quality and reliability. Schedule hours and methods to provide least disruption of building occupants. Maintain records for consistency in the maintenance of existing equipment and documentation for the building files. Generate maintenance reports of system condition of records and future references. Assist in design of such systems as installed by contractors and CSU

Construction Services.

Percentage Of Time 35% Job Duty Category Service, Installation, and Repair Duty/Responsibility

Maintenance and operation of the legacy video platforms of Dedicated Micros and American Dynamics. Provides support for migration of such systems to the IP based OnSS/ video network and seeks to develop a growing and sustainable business model for future maintenance and operation of IP video cameras, devices and associated infrastructure outside of the existing ACNS obligations of OnSS/ platform.

Percentage Of Time 15% Job Duty Category Intrusion Alarm and Bosch Network Duty/Responsibility

As Secondary Duties, provide journeyman level support, programming and assistance to other Access Services technicians on the Bosch Security Network, Bosch receivers, servers and control hardware. Troubleshot, repair, diagnose, program and Install as necessary for these growing and advancing

programs.
