About The Role
The Communications Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of the Communications Manager and Marketing Team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports communications, digital media, and storytelling, with a strong interest in soccer and fan engagement.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with digital media and club statistics tracking
- Support the marketing team on matchdays, including in-game operations
- Write articles covering matches, team news, and community events
- Help edit and maintain the club website and app content
- Create detailed broadcast match notes
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and post content
- Create and write monthly newsletters and emails
- Provide live social media coverage for away matches and produce match recaps
- Currently working toward or has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sports
- General understanding of soccer and the sports industry
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Interest in pursuing a career in the sports industry
- Ability to represent the club at business and community events professionally
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Availability to work all home matches at Weidner Field
- Ability to cover away matches remotely throughout the season
This position is $15.16/hr
