Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Referee to oversee sports games and ensure fair play that has had experience playing and refereeing the sport of Basketball. The ideal candidate should have a passion for sports and possess excellent conflict management skills.
Referee Duties:
- Officiate sports games ensuring all rules are followed
- Enforce sportsmanship and fair play among players
- Make real-time decisions on game-related issues
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators
- Provide coaching or guidance to players when necessary
- Assist with coordinating and managing adult sports leagues
- Set-up and tear-down of equipment
- Greeting and engaging with players
- Supporting other referees/officials
- Ensure game schedule is followed and scores are recorded
- Handling basic conflict resolution
Requirements:
- Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes on the court
- Experience in sports coaching or officiating, preferably in basketball
- Ability to effectively communicate with players of all ages, including children
- Knowledge of game rules and regulations to enforce them fairly and consistently
