Position Summary

The Coordinator IV leads highly complex or districtwide programs, systems, or initiatives that directly support strategic priorities of Colorado Springs School District 11.

This role bridges strategy and implementation by translating district goals into operational systems, policies, and programs that improve organizational effectiveness. Coordinator IV positions serve as senior subject-matter experts and frequently advise department leadership on program design, implementation, and improvement.

 

The Talent Management Pathways Coordinator (Coordinator IV) supports the district’s talent acquisition strategy by coordinating educator pipeline partnerships and managing licensing processes required for employment. This role serves as a key liaison between the district and colleges, universities, and teacher preparation programs to build and sustain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for teaching and other school-based positions. The Coordinator promotes and maintains partnerships with higher education institutions, coordinates recruitment events, and collaborates with school leaders to facilitate student teacher placements and other candidate pipeline opportunities.

 

In addition, the Talent Management Pathways Coordinator oversees the licensure status of employees and guest staff to ensure compliance with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requirements and applicable employment regulations. The role provides guidance and support on licensing processes, monitors licensure timelines and documentation, and assists employees with licensure-related questions and requirements. The Coordinator also supports international recruitment processes, including coordination related to visa applicants and communication with relevant government agencies when needed.

 

Working closely with the Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition and Development, the position contributes to the effective implementation of recruitment and licensure processes that support the district’s ability to attract, hire, and retain highly qualified staff. The role collaborates with internal departments, school administrators, and external partners to ensure accurate documentation, efficient processes, and high-quality customer service for staff, candidates, and stakeholders.

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and advisor to district leadership.

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience or project management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated skill in planning, coordination, and implementation of complex programs or operations.
  • Experience using data systems and metrics to evaluate and improve performance.
  • Preferred qualifications include relevant professional certification (e.g., SHRM, PMP, CPA, or equivalent), and/or bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish or other district-identified languages).

 

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Work is primarily sedentary with periods of light activity. Essential functions may include walking or standing for brief periods; lifting and carrying materials up to 20 pounds; climbing stairs; bending; reaching; handling objects; and operating a computer and standard office equipment. The role requires effective communication and the ability to receive and process information through normal or aided vision, hearing, or other assisted means.

 

Work is performed in a district office or administrative setting with regular collaboration across departments and external partners, and may include occasional evening or weekend responsibilities. Duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Employees in this category will also receive the following for the 2025-2026 school year: 

  • Non-Recurring Pay:  7% of base salary in Non-Recurring Pay (distributed as 3.5% on November paycheck and 3.5% on May paycheck). 
  • Professional Development Fund (PDF): __EXEC Pro employees will be allocated $1,500 annually towards a Professional Development Fund (PDF) to be used for professional growth opportunities. Amount allocated will be prorated based upon date and length of hire.
  • Staffing Stability Incentive (Mitchell High School Only): __EXEC Pro employees will receive the equivalent of one salary step divided over 12 pay periods (calculated as the difference between the placed step and the next step x number of hours per week x 4 weeks x 12 months). 
  • Pay for Performance (Mitchell High School): __EXEC Pros will receive a Pay for Performance Bonus that is paid out in the fall (utilizing criteria from the previous year).

Salary Setting (New Hires): Newly-employed Executive Professionals will be placed on the twenty (20) step system.  Each step represents two years of experience, based upon equivalent experience.  Beginning in July 2025, The maximum number of years of experience granted is 14, which is equivalent to placement on step seven (7). Steps are determined by experience listed on the application and resume.

 

Salary Setting (Rehires): Returning employees who have previously resigned or separated from the District will be rehired at the same step they were on at the time of resignation/separation plus any new experience gained in the same job,  provided step increases were approved by the Board during the years in question. 

 

Employees with experience in the District who have left the District and then returned to the same position shall be hired at the same pay grade (refers to the __EXEC Pro placement on salary schedule by job title) and step at time of resignation.  Additional relevant experience gained after resignation may be evaluated from the employee’s  application and updated resume.
