Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
- Assist with taking and communicating customer orders
- Serve food and beverages according to restaurant service standards
- Assist customers with menu questions and routine service requests
- Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming dining areas
- Clear and reset tables, trays, utensils, and service stations
- Restock beverages, napkins, utensils, condiments, and dining supplies
- Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate service
- Assist with packaging takeaway and pickup orders when needed
- Process customer payments using approved POS systems as required
- Respond to routine customer concerns and communicate complex issues to supervisors
- Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties
- Support team members during busy service periods
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, dining, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Basic math and payment-handling skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dining environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask effectively
