Elite Futsal Staff Coach

Rapids Youth Soccer (CRYSC), "The Heart Behind the Crest," is a leading Colorado destination club serving 12,000 youth players across a 100-mile radius. We are dedicated to developing remarkable coaches and providing a comprehensive player development experience that cultivates both on-field excellence and off-field growth. POSITION VISION:

Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club (CRYSC) is seeking knowledgeable, energetic, and professional Elite Futsal Coaches to support the delivery of our high-level futsal programming. This role focuses on leading small-group training sessions, coaching weekend sessions, and providing competitive play opportunities, while reinforcing CRYSC’s development-focused environment across all Elite Futsal age groups. 

As a contractor, the Elite Futsal Coach will work within scheduled training blocks, weekend programming, and occasional special events, upholding the highest standards of instruction, communication, and professionalism.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

At CRYSC, you're not just a trainer – you create the environment where players learn and grow. You'll connect with each player, help the team reach its goals, communicate with parents, and show leadership. It's key that every player feels valued and included. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that players have fun, develop, and feel like they're part of the team, all while upholding our club's values. You'll use feedback and information from the club to help players improve and meet the high standards we hold.

Excellent Communicator

• Adhere strictly to the club's communication policy, responding promptly to emails and voicemails, especially when addressing any arising issues.
• Ensure regular and reliable communication with the Director and Associate Director of Elite Futsal.
• Ensure all reporting requirements for team and player development are promptly and accurately fulfilled.

A Proponent of the Rapids Youth Soccer Player Pathway

• Actively advocate for and implement the club's Player Development Plan to nurture player growth.
• Utilize the club's methodology to enhance player development, ensuring consistency in approach.
• Implement the CRYSC Elite Futsal game model and style of play to optimize player and club development.
• Consider the individual ages and stages of development of each player within the team.
• Dedicate time and effort to building relationships with each player, fostering trust and rapport.
• Understand and effectively communicate the CRYSC Player Pathway to parents and players.
• Demonstrate flexibility to changes in the environment or schedule to meet players' and logistical needs.
• Maintain a resourceful approach to player development, both on and off the court, seeking opportunities for growth in various contexts.

EXPERIENCE / DESIRED TRAITS:

• Experience coaching and/or playing futsal and/or soccer, with a strong understanding of small-sided game methodology.
• Ability to manage groups of players and run dynamic, engaging training sessions.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to give constructive, clear, age-appropriate feedback.
• Reliable, consistent, and committed to fulfilling scheduled sessions and weekend responsibilities.
• Ability to collaborate with Elite Futsal Director and fellow coaches on session design and program execution.
• Coaching licenses or futsal certifications preferred, but not required.
• Must pass a background check and meet contractor compliance requirements.

CONTRACT / EXPECTATIONS: 

• This is a 10 to 11-month part-time position supporting year-round development and competition.
• The compensation range is $4,000-$8,000/year based upon experience, licensing, and scope of responsibilities
• Participation in Elite Futsal technical meetings is required.
• Coaches must be available for evening and weekend work (Fri-Sun), as well as travel to Futsal events 
• Elite Futsal Training is typically Friday evenings and all day Sunday
• Futsal Events are most frequent from Nov-Feb, then June & July
• Per diem and travel (flight & hotel) is paid for traveling coaches.
