Job Overview
We are hiring professional, customer-focused Unarmed Security Officers to support operations at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE). This role is ideal for individuals who value public service, professionalism, and teamwork in a highly visible, fast-paced environment.
Officers play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and orderly airport experience while supporting Pitkin County’s security and compliance requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to secure and restricted airport areas
- Conduct foot patrols of terminal, parking, and perimeter areas
- Provide customer service assistance to travelers, staff, and visitors
- Observe, report, and respond to safety or security concerns
- Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, airport operations, and law enforcement
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to pass:
- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
- TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA)
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Prior security, customer service, or airport experience preferred (not required)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
