The Human Resources Operations Manager (HR Ops Manager) is responsible for the strategic administration, configuration, and optimization of the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS), with a primary focus on the Paycom platform. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and effective utilization of HR data across payroll, benefits, talent management, and compliance modules.
The HR Ops Manager partners with HR leadership, Payroll, IT, Finance, and business leaders to enhance HR technology capabilities, streamline processes, and provide reporting and analytics that support strategic workforce decisions.
Our HRIS platform (Paycom) centralizes employee data and automates HR processes such as payroll, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, and performance management, allowing HR teams to focus on strategic work rather than manual administration. The HR Operations Manager will oversee HR system implementation, reporting, and data management to ensure employee information is accurate, and HR processes function efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS System Administration
- Serve as the system owner and primary administrator for Paycom.
- Configure and maintain all Paycom modules.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all Paycom modules.
- Manage system upgrades, releases, testing, and configuration changes.
Reporting & Workforce Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports within Paycom.
- Provide workforce analytics support.
- Generate compliance reports (EEO-1, ACA, audits, HR analytics, etc.).
Process Optimization
- Evaluate HR workflows and identify automation opportunities.
- Implement system improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Payroll teams to streamline employee lifecycle transactions.
System Integrations
- Manage integrations between Paycom and other systems including accounting systems, benefits vendors, and recruiting platforms.
- Coordinate data transfers and resolve integration issues.
HR Technology Strategy
- Partner with HR leadership to build a multi-year HR technology roadmap.
- Lead HRIS implementations, module launches, and upgrades.
- Evaluate new HR technology tools and integrations.
Training & Support
- Provide HRIS system training for HR staff, people leaders, and employees.
- Develop documentation, system guides, and process workflows.
- Manage support tickets and troubleshoot system issues.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Establish HR data governance standards.
- Maintain secure handling of employee data.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–8 years of HRIS or HR technology experience.
- 2 years of direct Paycom experience including hands-on experience with configuration and administration, HR data analytics and report generation, data management, payroll and benefits systems.
- Strong Excel or BI tool experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
