ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Professionally represent GH Phipps and effectively support Company strategic initiatives
- Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with internal customers and business partners
- Execute GH Phipps policies and procedures
- Embraces a lean culture and work environment
- Signalman to crane operator
- Layout for all craft related work to include grading
- Build and erect batter boards
- Set and handle wood and metal forms for footing and walls on any height
- Install rebar for slabs and wall construction
- Fasten to forms metal and plastic liners
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and winches
- Work related height such as edger forms on elevator floors
- Shoring for support of floor slabs and walls
- Use of welding equipment and cutting torches
- Erection and operation of elevator shaft forming systems
- Forming of floor slabs on grade
- Involvement in placing concrete during and prior to placement of concrete
- Placing concrete and operating a concrete vibrator
- Handset forms system
- Erect and handle gang form system
SKILLS
- Know how to use all the tools of his trade
- Know how to read blueprints
- Know layout; plumb, level, square
- Know safe and efficient procedures
- Rough carpentry skills
- Finish carpentry skills
- Good math, reading and writing skills
- Understand the schedule
- Quality conscious
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree and/or completion of carpentry apprenticeship program
