Colorado Occupational Medical Partners (COMP) has an immediate PRN opening for a Physical Therapist at our Lakewood Location.
COMP is an Occupational Medicine and Physical Medicine Practice that services a wide variety of employers and physicians in the community.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven therapist to team with our Physicians, Occupational Therapists, Massage Therapists, and Chiropractor in our growing medical practice.
COMP treats a wide variety of orthopedic, post-surgical, and neurological injuries in a multi-disciplinary setting with a close relationship with our referring physicians. Our clinics also provide treadmill testing, work conditioning, work hardening programs, and pre-employment testing.
The Physical Therapist would need a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited University, a current Colorado State Physical Therapist License, and be in compliance with all state rules, regulations, and procedures.
Skills needed are outstanding interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills. We require a therapist who is experienced in manual therapy and has a solid exercise background. The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks is essential. Dry needling certification is preferred but not essential.
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to be the first point of contact for patients and their health-care team, and to communicate effectively with patients and the medical team. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal communication skills and a passion for providing effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with health care specialists to set up treatment plans and develop discharge care plans.
- Educate patients on precautionary measures.
- Work with patients on improving their range of motion and mobility.
- Explain exercises and rehabilitation procedures to patients and their families in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrate to patients the proper way to do exercises and how long they should take.
- Document notes about patient progress in physical therapy sessions.
Pay: $48.00 - $52.00 per hour
