ABOUT THIS POSITION

Summary: Colorado Mesa
University is seeking qualified applicants for a coordinator position of a
Diagnostic Medical Sonography certificate program. This position is responsible for instruction of didactic and clinical courses
in the curriculum, and evaluation and reporting of student progress. This is a year-round, part-time salaried position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

• Develops student objectives and evaluation tools for didactic and clinical courses.
• Develops and updates syllabus, schedule, and evaluation methods for didactic and clinical courses.
• Provides supervision during clinical education as necessary.
• Contributes to development of program curricula and program assessment.
• Participates in student recruitment and selection.
• Instructs online and in-classroom didactic courses and evaluates performance of students.
• Advises prospective students and students enrolled in the program.
• Pursues ongoing continuing education in instructional methodology and imaging techniques to maintain certification(s).
• Maintains timely and satisfactory performance of responsibilities specified in the faculty member's employment agreement and CMU Faculty Handbook.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Credentialed, in good standing, in American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience as an instructor in a clinical setting.
• Five years fulltime experience (or equivalent) as a registered sonographer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree.
• Prior college/university level teaching experience.
