STATEMENT OF DUTIES

Summary of Job Classification:
Ensures effective implementation, operation, and sustainability of Problem Solving Court (PSC) programs. Provides onboarding and localized training to court employees within their district. Leads multiple programs. May supervise 1 or more full-time employees. Manages program budgets and grants.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

This position includes but is not limited to the following duties:
Support the currently accredited DUI Court.
Coordinate and collaborate with program partners and treatment providers.
Monitor the sobriety monitoring program
Data Entry
Participate in the Drug Offender Treatment board and any other assigned committees.


This is a half time - 20 hour per week position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform assigned essential functions listed below satisfactorily. Serves as a project leader and is responsible for the strategic planning, administrative work, and program operations of existing and potential PSC programs and specialty court programs within the judicial district.

Plans, implements, and monitors the daily activities of the assigned PSC teams. Ensures the court is implementing key components while serving the appropriate target populations. Performs administrative tasks and client outreach.

Manages grant efforts, including leading and participating in grant planning discussions, completing grant applications, presenting grant proposals, planning and preparing budgets and justifications, and overseeing awarded grants.

Liaises between the problem-solving court judge, court personnel, probation staff, treatment providers, attorneys, and other members of the problem solving court team. Maintains cooperative relationships with program stakeholders including, treatment agencies, community organizations, probation services, the Division of Behavioral Health, Defense Counsel, Prosecution, Judicial Officers, and other court staff.

Provides oversight and leadership to PSC operations team members. Leads team meetings. Trains team members and develops subsequent resource materials. Provides feedback on performance.

Reviews and updates program policies, procedures, contracts, and other documentation in adherence with the Colorado Problem Solving Court Standards.

Tracks and maintains statistical data for PSC programs. Utilizes data to demonstrate areas of success and areas for improvement. Prepares programmatic and financial reports to the State Court Administrators Office to be allocated Judicial funds for participant services.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
Work requires supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees (1 or more full-time employees) including providing input on hiring/disciplinary actions and work objectives/ effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed. The work performed by the majority of employees is complex.

Interactions and communications may result in recommendations regarding policy development and implementation. May also evaluate customer satisfaction, develop cooperative associations, and utilize resources to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Interactions have significant impact.

Receives Limited Direction
Employee normally perform assignments according to your own judgment, requesting Supervisory assistance only when necessary. Special projects are managed with little oversight and assignments may be reviewed upon completion. Performance reviewed periodically. Impact of actions are moderate.

Fiscal Responsibility:
Is responsible for functional area financial decisions. Assures that appropriate linkages exist between budget requests and functional area goals and objectives. Monitors budget plan and adjusts, as necessary.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Psychology, Sociology, or related field.

OR

Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.

Work Related Experience:
3 to 5 years’ experience in social work or related field.

Licenses and Certifications:
None.

Physical Effort Requirements:
Medium Work - Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.

Work Environment:
Good - Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.

Work Location:
Office or similar indoor environment; community venues.

Exposures:
Individuals who are hostile or irate; individuals with known violent backgrounds; communicable diseases; individuals under the influence of a controlled substance.
