Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of glass panels, windows, doors, and custom glazing fixtures on various construction sites
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, measure, and assemble glass components
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate installation
- Support fabrication and manufacturing processes related to glass and framing materials
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling large glass units or framing materials
- Help with caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing to prepare surfaces for glass installation
- Aid in the assembly of fixtures, cabinets, and other architectural elements as needed
- Follow detailed instructions for remodeling projects, including door hanging and fixture installation
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Prior construction site experience or hands-on work with hand tools and power tools preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout the workday
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, or construction drawings is a plus
- Familiarity with construction estimating, fabrication, or remodeling processes is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in glass installation and carpentry
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable transportation to job sites; punctuality is essential
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and work at heights as needed
