Summer Activity Coordinator (Temporary)

About The Colorado LiftED Foundation

The Colorado LiftED Foundation is a long-term partner to youth. We believe that when we make a deep, long-term commitment to youth and their families, our whole community thrives. We walk side-by-side with youth and their families as they navigate school and life, offering academic, social, and emotional support as they learn, grow, and work toward their dreams.

No one should have to take this journey alone. Since our founding in 1988, we have leveraged proven methods to give youth equal access to the resources they need to succeed and ignite their innate potential. When we keep our promises, anything is possible.

Our Vision

A Colorado where every young person has equal access to educational and career opportunities that will ignite their innate potential.

Our Values

A Seat at the Table: In any decision we are making, we have an open seat at the table for our youth, families, and communities.

An Inch Wide, A Mile Deep: We impact a small group, but we support them deeply and with everything we have.

Once A Dreamer, Always a Dreamer: Longevity and an unshakeable commitment throughout a youth’s life are at the core of what we do and how we do it.

Whatever It Takes: We will do whatever is in our power to find the way forward.

We Not Me: Collaboration and partnership make everything and anything possible

About the Position

The Summer Activity Coordinator is a key member of the Colorado LiftED Youth Program team, leading engaging activities for youth in grades 3–8. In this role, you’ll support students’ social and emotional growth by co‑designing and delivering movement‑based experiences that build confidence, connection, and joy.

But this position is about more than activities—you’re also building meaningful relationships. At CLF, we go an inch wide and a mile deep, which means truly knowing the young people in your program as individuals, not just participants. As an advocate for our youth and families, you help create an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued.

The Summer Activity Coordinator reports to the Site Leader at their assigned location.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement dynamic activities focused on youth collaboration, identity, self-awareness, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a space that encourages active participation and belonging for all students.
  • Collaborate with faculty, families, and community partners to promote wellness and engagement–be the person who finds the resource, makes the call, or sits with youth until things are better.
  • Manage facility usage and equipment inventory while ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and supervision standards.
  • Adapt activities based on direct input from youth–their interests, questions, and experiences–so that programming reflects who they are and better serves youth needs.
  • Maintain discretion and handle sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Invest time in building strong, trusting relationships with and among youth. That’s whatever it takes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • An unwavering belief that all youth can achieve and be successful.
  • A solid understanding of social-emotional learning (SEL) principles.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • A proven track record of contributing to an organizational culture that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • A demonstrated belief in Colorado LiftED Foundation’s mission and values.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

  • Schedule: 20 – 25 hours per week.
  • Starting Salary: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience (Pre-tax total earning potential of $3,000 – $3,700).
  • Benefits: We value our team’s well-being and offer paid holidays and birthdays off.
