ABOUT THE POSITION


The Assistant Site Leader is a key member of the Youth Programs Team at Colorado Dream Foundation (CDF), supporting the Site Leader in managing the daily operations, climate, and culture of the program site. This position plays a vital role in ensuring program excellence, youth engagement, and operational effectiveness while aligning with CDF’s mission, values, and strategic anchors.

The Assistant Site Leader helps drive the success of youth, staff, and families by strengthening site systems, enhancing team communication, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-expectations environment. This role collaborates with instructors, families, and partners to ensure each youth has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.


This position reports to the Site Leader.




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Program Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the Site Leader in day-to-day program operations, ensuring the smooth delivery of youth programming.
  • Coordinate logistics, supplies, schedules, and systems that sustain effective site management.
  • Uphold a positive, inclusive program culture that prioritizes belonging, safety, and engagement.
  • Participate in regular site walk-throughs and debriefs with the Site Leader to review quality and youth outcomes.
  • Support accurate and timely data entry for attendance, engagement, and program metrics.
  • Use data insights to inform adjustments and highlight successes within the team.
  • Participate in weekly site meetings to track progress toward enrollment, attendance, and engagement goals.


People Development & Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Site Leader to coach, mentor, and support instructors to deliver high-quality enrichment and academic activities.
  • Assist in onboarding and training of site-based staff and interns in alignment with CDF’s program standards.
  • Model professionalism, accountability, and growth mindset for all team members.
  • Contribute to a culture of reflection, feedback, and continuous learning across the site.
  • Participate in the organization’s performance review and goal-setting processes as part of the broader Youth Programs team.


Youth & Family Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with youth and families to strengthen community and engagement.
  • Help monitor and reinforce behavior expectations using restorative and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Support youth participation and leadership within site-based activities and events.
  • Serve as a bridge between families, schools, and program staff, ensuring consistent communication and partnership.
  • Represent CDF with professionalism and enthusiasm at community events and family gatherings.


Enrollment & Community Partnerships

  • Support recruitment and enrollment efforts to meet site-level participation goals.
  • Maintain relationships with school partners and community organizations aligned with CDF’s mission.
  • Identify and recommend enrichment partnerships that expand youth learning experiences.
  • Contribute to site-based events that promote youth leadership, family engagement, and brand visibility.


Leadership & Organizational Alignment

  • Partner with the Site Leader to ensure alignment with CDF’s mission, core values, and strategic anchors.
  • Participate in organization-wide training, meetings, and special events.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and initiative in responding to site and organizational needs.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of CDF’s values and model behaviors that reflect its commitment to equity and inclusion.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth in school or community-based settings. Demonstrated success in supporting team leadership, program coordination, and youth engagement.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, cultural responsiveness, and ability to build relationships across diverse audiences. Flexibility, collaboration, and attention to detail required.
  • Knowledge & Commitment: Understanding of trauma-informed care, youth development principles, and CDF’s mission and values. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Other: Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred. Must pass a fingerprint background check. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.



SALARY AND BENEFITS

This is a full-time, exempt position. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) matching program, paid time off, holidays and birthdays, professional development opportunities, and more.
