CCD is part of the 13-institution Colorado Community College System (CCCS), governed by an 11-member board made up of Governor appointees. Founded in 1967, CCD serves more than 8,000 students annually in academic and career-focused programs that prepare learners for success in Colorado’s dynamic economy. The President reports to the CCCS Chancellor with the autonomy to manage their own institution and the benefit of collaboratively working within a system. They are the face of and provide leadership for the college, by establishing strategies and measurable goals to increase enrollment and ensure equity in student access and success at the college. The president ensures the efficient and effective use of all the college’s resources, safeguards its assets, maintains appropriate internal controls and ensures the quality and integrity of all financial or non-financial reporting and disclosures.
Reporting to the Chancellor of the Colorado Community College System, the president will collaborate with system and campus leaders to advance CCD’s strategic plan, steward financial resources, forge and strengthen partnerships, and advocate for students in support of the college’s mission.
