- Vet Technician license required. 1 years of veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience required.
- 30.00 / per hour, depending on experience.
- Confident in customer service and communication.
- Position is full time with benefits and all major Holidays off.
Responsibilities - Veterinary Technician
- Anesthesia administration and monitoring.
- Dental prophylaxis
- Quality full body and dental radiographs
- Urinalysis and sediment reading
- Ear and skin cytologies/ skin workups/ fungal cultures,scrapes and cytology
- IV catheter placement
- Inhouse bloodwork
- Communicate inhouse diagnostic information to veterinarian
- Understanding of feline behavior and recognition of disease, pain and distress.
- All other CVT duties.
- Occasional reception/office assistance
We do require a tech to be “on call” during each weekend for emergencies or hospitalized animals. Weekend on calls to be rotated between all techs.
1-2x a month techs may need to stay after 5:30pm to assist the doctor. This responsibility is also rotated.
Current schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:30pm, Saturday 8am - 1pm
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
