Job Title: Host/Server
Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, motivated and customer-oriented Host/Server to join our team in a fast paced pizzeria/brewery. Shifts will fluctuate between hosting and serving part time hours. You will be steadily trained as a host and then evaluated to see if you qualify to move to a serving position. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, answering phones, taking to go orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome as they arrive at the restaurant
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction with their meals
- Handle guest inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist in bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth operation
Requirements:
- At least one year of previous food service experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong guest relations skills with a focus on providing exceptional service
- Knowledge of restaurant operations
- Passion for delivering top-notch service with a smile to all guests
