What are the responsibilities and job description for the MBA Business Consulting & Strategy Intern position at Colorado African Innovation and Cultural Center?
The Colorado African Innovation and Cultural Center (CAICC) empowers communities through career development, cultural engagement, youth innovation, and business support. Our Business101 Accelerator manages a portfolio of 100 startups, nonprofits, and scaling businesses.
We are excited to announce 3 openings for our Fall/Spring MBA Internship, where fellows will gain real-world consulting, implementation, and vendor management experience while directly supporting entrepreneurs and organizations across our expanding portfolio.
This is a contract role for an MBA Business Consulting & Strategy Intern. The intern will work in a hybrid setting (remote with on-site opportunities in Colorado Preferred).
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis.
- Developing and presenting business growth strategies and packages.
- Preparing financial and operational plans.
- Managing client accounts and providing consulting on scaling, structure, and operations.
- Supporting “Do-It-For-You” implementation (websites, digital tools, marketing campaigns).
- Coordinating with vendors and service providers to deliver solutions.
- Assisting with onboarding new businesses and vendors into the accelerator.
- Tracking and reporting KPIs across CAICC’s 100 business portfolio.
- Assisting in planning and executing cultural and business development programs.
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program (Fall semester) or a recent graduate (within the past 6 months).
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Background or interest in consulting, management consulting, or entrepreneurship.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment.
- Experience with vendor/partnership coordination is a plus.
