Join our dynamic team as a Window Shade Installer, where you'll bring style, comfort, and functionality to residential and commercial spaces by expertly installing window coverings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of window treatment products, ensuring each installation meets high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. If you’re passionate about craftsmanship, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to transforming spaces, this position is perfect for you! No experience necessary although familiarity with a cordless drill and ability to lift at least 50 lbs preferred. Pay will be determined by experience and skill level.
Duties
- Measure windows accurately using tape measures and interpret dimensional specifications from blueprints and construction plans
- Install various window coverings including shades, blinds, shutters, and draperies following technical drawings and manufacturer instructions
- Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces, removing old fixtures, and setting up necessary tools and materials for installation
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to secure window treatments to walls, ceilings, or window frames in accordance with blueprint specifications
- Collaborate with clients to ensure their preferences are met while providing excellent customer service throughout the installation process
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring all fixtures are properly aligned, functioning smoothly, and securely fastened
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites including ladder use and proper handling of tools and materials
Skills
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, levels, tape measures, and power tools for precise installations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients during project execution
- Capable of working at heights using ladders safely while maintaining focus on safety procedures
- Basic understanding of electrical can be beneficial for integrated window treatments or motorized shades
