Role Description
The Landscape Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Palo Alto, CA, responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial, and residential accounts. This position oversees day-to-day client communication, conducts regular site walks, identifies landscape needs, quality site assessments and ensures contracted services are performed to quality and safety standards. The role coordinates with the Production Manager to schedule work, resolve issues, and implement enhancements such as plantings, irrigation adjustments, and seasonal services. The Landscape Account Manager prepares estimates and proposals, tracks budgets, and monitors job costs to ensure profitability and client satisfaction. This position also supports quality control, compliance with company procedures, and ongoing improvements in service delivery.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, plant health care, irrigation systems, and basic tree care.
- Experience managing client accounts, building long-term relationships, and handling service issues in a professional, timely manner.
- Ability to coordinate field operations, including scheduling crews, prioritizing tasks, and monitoring work quality and safety on site.
- Skill in preparing estimates, proposals, and budgets, with basic understanding of job costing and profitability.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with common office and mobile software (email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools); experience with landscape or service management software is a plus.
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, construction, or a related green industry role is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and ability to travel between client sites in the Palo Alto and surrounding areas.
- QAL/QAC
- 2-4 year degree in Landscape Horticultural, Plant Science, Business, or related field.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of site visits and field inspections.
