- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform product and category decisions.
- Develop merchandising strategies that align with seasonal financial goals and customer acquisition targets.
- Partner with Planning to build and analyze seasonal financial plans, adjusting pricing and promotions as needed.
- Lead end-to-end assortment planning, including product development, vendor negotiations, and KPI analysis.
- Collaborate with divisional leaders to plan and execute catalog assortments.
- Communicate product features and benefits to creative teams for accurate and compelling presentation.
- Lead cross-functional teams and mentor a Product Assistant to support merchandising execution.
In Addition, We Are Looking For
- A creative individual that can conceptualize merchandising strategies, articulate them and develop product that supports the brand vision
- 5 years’ of strong merchandising, buying, marketing, or general business knowledge. 3 years’ of experience is acceptable, with specific category expertise.
- A strong aptitude to research and analyze business opportunities
- The ability to work with a multiple cross functional partners
- An ability to think ahead and plan over a 1 to 5 year planning horizon
- The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/tasks and lead complex, multi-department projects to optimal completion
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve positive results through others
- Deep understanding that the organization is built on a series of integrated business processes; You must understand how each process works and how they are interrelated to other processes
