Position: Portfolio Manager
Location: Remote or any Colony Bank location with available space
Position Purpose:
The Portfolio Manager supports assigned Commercial Bankers in proactively managing and strengthening profitable commercial banking relationships. This role provides essential portfolio oversight, credit analysis, and customer support, contributing to the growth and success of the bank's commercial portfolio, while acting as a supporting point of contact for the customer.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
· Proactive Portfolio Management:

- Monitor and manage past dues, maturing loans, and exceptions, providing timely information to Commercial Bankers and assisting in risk mitigation.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive portfolio reports to Commercial Bankers and management.
· Credit Analysis and Underwriting Support:

- Collaborate with the credit department to provide supporting documentation for underwriting loan renewals and new loan requests, ensuring adherence to the bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of thorough and accurate annual credit reviews, identifying potential risks and opportunities for Commercial Bankers.
· Customer Relationship Support:

- Provide supporting assistance to Commercial Bankers in serving as a point of contact for commercial customers, aiding in addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Assist, under the direction and guidance of the Commercial Bankers, in the proactive identification and recommendation of additional bank products and services to meet customer needs, supporting the Commercial Bankers in fostering deeper and more profitable relationships.
- Assist Commercial Bankers in the utilization of commercial banking software, such as nCino and Alkami, to effectively manage customer relationships and loan portfolios.
- Serve as a supporting liaison between the commercial customer, and other areas of the bank.
· Relationship Expansion Support:

- Assist Commercial Bankers in conducting regular reviews of customer relationships, providing data and support to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing changes in customer financial status, providing timely insights and supporting data to Commercial Bankers.
· Compliance and Risk Management Support:

- Assist Commercial Bankers in ensuring adherence to the bank's credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in support of Commercial Banker efforts.
· Collaboration:

- Work closely with Commercial Bankers, Commercial Relationship Coordinators, and other revenue-generating lines of business to achieve shared goals.
- Proactively collaborate with the Commercial Relationship Coordinators to ensure that pipelines are managed efficiently, and that there is no duplication of effort.
· Other Duties:

- Assist with special projects, and loan documentation gathering.
- Assist with customer onboarding, under the guidance of the commercial bankers.
Education and Experience:
· Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
· Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial banking and credit analysis
· Familiarity with loan structuring and loan documentation required
· Must be detailed oriented, self-starter with exceptional customer service skills
