Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
• Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation of surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling guidelines for heavy or bulky items.
• Maintain supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels and requesting replenishments as needed to ensure uninterrupted cleaning operations.
• Follow all safety protocols during cleaning activities, including proper chemical handling safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues that require specialized attention to ensure the facility remains in optimal condition.

Requirements

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the operation of cleaning equipment like floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following established safety procedures and protocols.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward staff and visitors.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and basic repair procedures is a plus.
• Ability to adhere strictly to safety guidelines during all custodial activities.
