A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HVAC / PLUMBING SERVICE MANAGER
As an HVAC / Plumbing Service Manager, you oversee our service department and direct our plumbers and HVAC technicians. Your friendly and professional demeanor builds the bridge between our company and our clients. You research, compile, and share quarterly customer ratings and patiently handle any customer issues that arise.
Often, you can be found out in the field, leading by example and inspiring your plumbers and HVAC technicians to take pride in their work. Using your knowledge and experience, you expertly train your team to achieve their goals and exceed client expectations. Because you handle training, you are able to ensure that our dispatchers are scheduling by skill level, efficiency, and training.
You establish departmental objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards. And, you are always looking for ways to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency. You also develop and monitor the budget, goals, and KPOs to increase profitability. When you are not out in the field, you handle administrative duties such as reviewing warranty invoices, work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy. You take great pride in keeping our clients, plumbers/HVAC technicians, and revenue headed upward.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of progressive responsibility in a Service Department in a related industry
- Post-high school education OR equivalent experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience with at least one dispatch system
