We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager for our Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in the Macomb, MI area! Our state-of-the-art Molding Facility has been operating for over 40 years in business. Looking for a full-time, well-rounded individual who knows automotive, but not afraid to tackle non-automotive as well.
- · Plastic Injection Mold Experience in a Production manufacturing environment is required.
- · Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding process, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing and of course quality.
- · Able to interact and work in a team environment to resolve issues and manage all aspects of daily projects and provide updates and reports.
- · Self-starter mentality and must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation.
- · Demonstrate superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skills.
- · Good computer skills
Responsibilities would Include but are not limited to:• Overseeing and Monitoring all PPAP activities, and providing technical support to Program Management and Engineers for new and current programs• Support RFQ activities including: Preparation and presentation of technical reviews; Development of quality plan and gauge concept; Review customer specific requirements to ensure proper planning and costing is achieved• Participate in new programs’ APQP activities• Review, comment, approve process control plans, active contributor in P-FMEA discussions• Participate in customer-initiated audits; follow up with completion of the audit action plan.• Conduct and manage internal audits to ensure we are exceeding and following process and control plans put in place. Follow up with any corrective actions.• Oversee and monitor resolution to customer complaints. Investigates and respond to escalated customer complaints. 8D’s• Formulate and maintain quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals related to customer quality• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, traceability, testing, and evaluation at all stages of production• Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component2 / 2• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.• Review data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures• Maintain a working knowledge of government and customer quality requirements and standards• Update, Manage and Maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) within the organization to stay current with the changing standards or new implemented policies.• Design and implement quality training programs witho other quality personnel as required.• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quality Manager, with minimum 2 years’ experience supervising or managing employees• Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) including IATF 16949; QMS internal and 3rd party auditing; Quality control function and techniques, warranty analysis, PSO, SPC, PPAP, GD&T, DFSS, DVP&R, TQM, QFD, Gauges, FMEA, APQP, problem solving and lean manufacturing principals.• Perform and maintain recertification of our IATF certification(s)• Knowledge of functional automotive plastics
Salary $70 - 90K per year
