Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Press Operator role located in Utica, MI, covering all shifts. Press Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring plastic molding or printing presses according to production specifications. Daily tasks include loading materials, performing basic machine adjustments, inspecting parts for quality, and documenting production output. The role involves following safety procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and reporting any equipment or process issues to supervisors. Press Operators collaborate with team members and shift leads to meet production schedules and quality targets while minimizing downtime.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation to safely run presses and handle production equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to inspect parts, identify defects, and follow established quality standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in Printing and Pre-press to support setup, alignment, and basic adjustments on press-related processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to recognize operational issues and assist in resolving minor equipment or process problems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety and cleanliness on the production floor.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including evenings, nights, or weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or automotive production is beneficial; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1st shift - 5:45am - 2:15pm $15/hr
2nd shift – 1:45pm – 10:15pm $15.75/hr
3rd shift – 9:45pm – 6:15am $15.75/hr
