We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our long-term care team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care and support to our residents while working collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in good standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- No disciplinary actions on certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents with transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Coordinate and assist with meal services, including feeding and documenting intake.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' skin condition, weight, and overall health.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Participate in care plan meetings and follow individualized care plans.
- Uphold residents' rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with infection control, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in QAPI activities and performance improvement initiatives.
- Report any signs of abuse, neglect, or safety concerns immediately.
- Attend required training sessions and maintain competency in assigned skills.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Desired Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift, move, push, or pull a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in environments with exposure to infectious materials and emotional situations.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic medical records.
