Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Floor Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, ensuring the well-being of patients through effective monitoring and treatment. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the floor, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Document medical information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Cerner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and health management.
- Assist in performing medical procedures as needed, including Botulinum toxin treatment and sonography.
- Engage with children and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and understanding during treatment.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to all health regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Experience in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) or behavioral health is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with medical imaging techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children and individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of EHR systems such as Point Click Care is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong leadership skills when necessary.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with nursing best practices.
Schedule
- 12 hour shifts, starting at 7am and 7pm
- Rotating schedule allowing nurses off every other weekend.
