Location: Colonial Nursing & Rehab – Crown Point, IN
Position: Full-Time (Weekend rotation Included)

Colonial Nursing & Rehab is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our skilled nursing facility in Crown Point, IN. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

The Housekeeper performs a variety of cleaning and organizational duties throughout the facility, ensuring resident rooms and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all established housekeeping policies and procedures

• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, hallways, offices, and common areas

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, including rooms that are newly vacated or scheduled for deep sanitation

• Clean and disinfect surfaces, furniture, and fixtures to maintain infection control standards

• Collect and transport soiled linens from resident rooms and designated areas

• Assist with laundry duties by placing soiled facility or resident personal linens into washing machines

• Fold or hang clean resident clothing and linens

• Transport and distribute resident personal laundry to appropriate rooms

• Hang clothing in closets and neatly place clothing in drawers

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and supply areas

• Follow safety guidelines and infection control procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, maintenance, or related fields preferred

• Familiarity with cleaning materials, equipment, and sanitation practices

• Ability to work independently and efficiently

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean environment
