Position: Assistant Middle School Track Coach
Location: Colonial Middle School
Season: Spring 2026
Practice Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00-5:00 PM
Position Summary:
Colonial Middle School is seeking an energetic and supportive Assistant Track Coach to help lead the middle school track program. The ideal candidate will assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach in planning and supervising daily practices and meets (Monday–Friday, 3:00–5:00 PM).
- Support skill development and conditioning across multiple track and field events.
- Help maintain student engagement, motivation, and safety during practices and competitions.
- Collaborate with the head coach, athletic administration, and school staff to promote academic and athletic success.
- Uphold school, district, and PIAA athletic policies and expectations.
- Support with logistics such as equipment setup, communication, and meet preparation.
Qualifications:
- Prior coaching or athletic experience preferred (track & field experience encouraged).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to fostering positive student-athlete development and sportsmanship.
- Current clearances and coaching certifications as required by the Colonial School District and PIAA.
Stipend: Per district extra-duty contract
