Colonial Manor a 37-bed skilled nursing facility in Lakefield is looking for a compassionate individual dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors. The Activities Assistant is a full-time position and will help in planning and implementing quality leisure/social events designed to assist residents in maintaining their dignity promoting independence to include their physical, social, spiritual, and mental well being. Requirements
* Must have a high school diploma or GED
*Positive attitude
* Passion for helping others
* Experience with memory care helpful but not necessary
* Good attendance history

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities to promote socialization.
- Execute recreational activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents, particularly those in memory care.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a supportive environment.
- Monitor and document residents' progress and engagement in activities, providing feedback to the care team.
- Support residents with cognitive challenges, fostering a positive atmosphere through patience and understanding.
