Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry services are performed to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and appearance of linens, towels, and garments within our facility, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Duties
- Launder and dry clean linens, towels, and garments according to established procedures.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean items efficiently.
- Inspect items for stains or damage prior to laundering and report any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Provide excellent service to guests by ensuring timely delivery of clean items.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, especially in a hotel or similar environment.
- Knowledge of proper laundering techniques for various fabrics, including dry cleaning processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
