What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Colonial House Senior Independent Living?
Title: Housekeeper
Scope and General Purpose: Resident Room and General Facility Cleaning
Hours of Work: Part Time
Reports to: Resident Director
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and follow directions to utilize household cleaning products safely
- Understanding emergency procedures
- Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift
- Previous experience preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with the operation of household cleaning equipment (vacuum, washer, dryer, etc.)
- Responsible for general cleaning of residence interior including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping.
- Report to Resident Director any useful information about resident behavior or building maintenance.
- To adhere to all Company Policy and Procedures regarding Health, Hygiene and Safety.
- Interact with co-workers and residents in a friendly, positive and cooperative manner.
- Be knowledgeable of and able to participate in fire drills and evacuation procedures.
