We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and service-oriented Bag Drop Attendant to join our Golf Operations team.
Job Title: Bag Drop Attendant – Colonial Heritage Club
Compensation: $12.77/hour – Part-Time
Position Summary
The Bag Drop Attendant plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding first and last impression for Members and Guests. This position is responsible for greeting arrivals, assisting with golf bags, staging and maintaining golf carts, and ensuring a smooth start and finish to each round. A warm smile, professional presentation, and attentive service are essential to the Colonial Heritage Club experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome Members and Guests with friendly, professional demeanor.
- Retrieve golf bags from vehicles or storage and load them securely onto carts.
- Assist Members and Guests at the bag drop, offering directions and general information as needed.
- Stage golf carts in the designated area, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for play.
- Detail carts each morning and throughout the day, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Clean clubs and prepare them for pickup at the time of departure.
- Wash range balls and towels daily.
- Remove golf bags from carts after playing and return them to vehicles or storage.
- Return carts to the storage area, removing towels, pencils, scorecards, tees, and trash; reuse appropriate items.
- Wash, detail, and perform routine maintenance on golf carts before plugging them in for overnight charging.
- Transport bags to and from Club Storage and special event staging areas.
- Assist Golf Professionals with staging for Member outings and events.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Crosstrain in other operational areas as requested by a supervisor.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Golf knowledge or experience preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively in oneonone and small group settings
Environment
This role is hands-on, active, and outdoors. You can expect:
- Regular walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and equipment operation
- Frequent work in heat, cold, rain, and varying outdoor conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to biological materials
- Evening and weekend shifts, especially during peak seasons
