We are Colonial Commercial Cleaning, a premier commercial cleaning company serving businesses across Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland. We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Business Development Representative to drive growth by identifying new commercial accounts and securing long-term service contracts.
About the Role: You'll lead our sales efforts through consultative B2B relationship-building, converting outreach into corporate partnerships. This position offers genuine autonomy, a modern sales stack, and real opportunities to grow with the company as your book of business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outbound Prospecting: Execute strategic cold calling campaigns and multi-channel outreach to engage facilities managers, business owners, and property executives to schedule facility walkthroughs
- Facility Assessments: Conduct on-site walkthroughs to evaluate prospects' cleaning needs and gather operational insights
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across private commercial accounts and public-sector channels, including RFPs and bid opportunities where applicable
- Proposal Development: Create professional service proposals using our templates, customized based on walkthrough findings and RFP requirements
- Pipeline Management: Maintain organized records of prospecting activities, scheduled walkthroughs, proposal submissions, and sales metrics
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of B2B sales, business development, or account management experience (commercial services or B2B recurring-revenue background preferred)
- A demonstrated track record of success with the ability to speak to specific numbers (calls made, meetings booked, deals closed)
- Comfort with a modern sales stack (Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or equivalent)
- Exposure to RFP responses or public-sector/government contracting is a plus, but not required
- Reliable transportation for client visits throughout Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland
- Self-directed, with the ability to manage your own schedule and priorities without close supervision
Compensation & Schedule:
- Base Pay: $28–$32/hour
- Commission: 3–5% of first-year contract value with no cap, and your earning potential grows right alongside your book of business
- Target Earnings: $45,000–$55,000 (Full commission details, including renewals, payout schedule, etc., will be detailed in offer/employment agreement)
- Schedule: Part-time, 20–25 hours/week, in-person (Manassas, VA office regional travel)
- Mileage Reimbursement: Standard IRS mileage rate
