We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse within our Medical Services program. This position assists the medical department in the assessment, planning and care of individuals served.
We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse within our Medical Services program. This position assists the medical department in the assessment, planning and care of individuals served.
- Provides case monitoring, including assessment of health status, medication side effects, clinical stability, and other needs.
- Provides training on health topics and individual health needs to program staff and individuals served.
- Contributes to medical records, including electronic documentation.
- Ongoing management of the medication supplies room including, but not limited to, the appropriate ordering, storage, handling, and administration of medications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to assist consumers in problem solving and utilize creative approaches when appropriate.
- One year of nursing experience with individuals with serious mental illness preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- LPN license required.
DMV record must be submitted with application.
