We are excited to welcome a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)to our Medical Services program!
This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate nursing professional who wants to make a meaningful difference in behavioral health. As part of our Medical Services team, you’ll help support the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals we serve through quality care, education, medication management, and ongoing health monitoring.
- Provide case monitoring, including assessment of health status, medication side effects, clinical stability, and other health-related needs.
- Provide engaging and informative health education and training to program staff and individuals served.
- Contribute to accurate and timely medical records and electronic documentation.
- Oversee the ongoing management of the medication supplies room, including appropriate ordering, storage, handling, and administration of medications.
- Collaborate with the medical and behavioral health teams to promote quality care and positive outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
This position will work primarily with children and adolescents and may be required to work at additional Colonial Behavioral Health sites as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to assist individuals with problem-solving and utilize creative approaches when appropriate.
- One year of nursing experience with individuals with serious mental illness preferred.
- Valid driver’s license/record is required.
- LPN license required.
DMV record must be submitted with application.
