Clinical Managers

Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County. 

Colonial Behavioral Health is seeking experienced and motivated Clinical Managers to provide clinical leadership, coordination, oversight, and administrative management across several key service areas.

In this role, Clinical Managers will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality service delivery, supporting staff development, and maintaining operational excellence within their respective programs

• Provides managerial and team leadership - coaching, training and assistance to other clinicians in service provision of Crisis Services (Emergency Services or Mobile Crisis Response), Adult Outpatient, or Central Access.
• Development and implementation of strategies which maximize efficiencies and effectiveness on behalf of individual access, resource management, and empowerment
• Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) providing weekly clinical supervision to clinicians working towards licensure
• Monitoring staff through monthly chart reviews and monthly staff reports on productivity, size of individual caseloads, and others as assigned. 
• Manages day to day oversight of the program through maintaining the counseling waitlist, maintaining motivational and counseling group schedules and waitlists,  conducting a utilization review process, and others as assigned. 
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Schedules will vary based on program:

• Adult Outpatient- Monday-Friday (Standard Business Hours)
• Central Access- Monday-Friday (Standard Business Hours)
• Emergency Services-Hours may vary but may include overnights, evenings and weekend coverage.
• Mobile Crisis-Hours may vary but may include overnights, evenings and weekend coverage.

• Knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders

• Possess knowledge of crisis intervention models and theories, and resources available to help individuals with serious emotional and developmental disabilities, including individuals with co-occurring disorders
• Knowledge of law enforcement and the criminal justice system, including a basic understanding of the issues confronting law enforcement and Crisis services 
• Effective networking and collaboration with multiple jurisdictions and community partners
• Ability to provide clinical and licensure supervision 
• Effective time management skills, ability to multi-task and maintain appropriate records
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and effectively relay these new concepts to others
• At least 3 years of clinical and management experience in mental health, substance use disorders and crisis intervention required.  
• Valid driver’s license required.  
• Master’s Degree in a human services field required.
• Must hold a valid license from the Board of Counseling, Board of Social Work, or Board of Psychology (LPC or LCSW) required
• Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) licensure, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. required
• DBHDS Preadmission Screening certificate preferred -Clinical Manager position (Emergency Services & Mobile Crisis Response) 

Salary : $93,000 - $100,000
