Colonial Assisted Living is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Cook to join our dietary team. If you enjoy cooking and take pride in preparing meals that make a difference, we'd love to meet you. Our residents look forward to every meal, and you'll play an important role in their daily lives.
Schedule

- Day Shift
- Evening Shift
- Rotating Weekends
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Florida Level 2 Background Screening (required for employment).

- Previous cooking experience required.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
- Assist with meal preparation, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
- Prepare salads, sides, entrées, and other menu items.
- Follow prep lists and instructions from the Dietary Manager.
- Properly label, date, and store food items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and nutrition guidelines.
- Assist with receiving and stocking food deliveries.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or prep cook preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Culinary training is a plus, but not required.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Experience:
- Assisted Living Facility: 1 year (Preferred)
- Food industry: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- ServSafe (Preferred)
- Food Safety Certification (Preferred)
- Level 2 Background (Preferred)
