What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Immigration Attorney position at Colon Law Firm?

Family Immigration Attorney

Position Overview

Colón Law Firm is hiring a Family Immigration Attorney to manage a full caseload of family-based immigration matters before USCIS. Matters are assigned to you following intake; you conduct an initial legal review and client touchpoint at assignment and serve as the primary legal advisor from that point forward, through final adjudication. The role asks for more than substantive immigration knowledge — it asks you to take ownership of your matters, work within established firm processes, and exercise independent legal judgment.

You work with a dedicated Legal Assistant who supports document collection, scheduling, and case preparation, which keeps your focus on legal strategy, client advocacy, and work product quality. The practice is process-driven and collaborative, and the client base is bilingual, so professional fluency in English and Spanish is essential. Regular travel to USCIS field offices for interviews is required.
