What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Commercial Estimator position at Collums Construction?
ommercial Construction Estimator
Location: Memphis, TN (serving the greater Memphis metro area)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 annually (depending on experience and capability)
Collums Construction is building something uncommon in Memphis. We are a commercial general contractor focused on interior buildouts and renovations across office, industrial, retail, restaurant, religious, and education sectors. We are not trying to be the biggest contractor in the room; we are building a disciplined, high-standard company on a path toward $30M in annual revenue with strong margins and a reputation competitors try to copy.
We believe construction should be known for clarity, trust, and execution, not chaos. We believe what we do repeatedly becomes who we are. And we believe disciplined estimating is one of the foundations of a great company.
Your Role
As our Commercial Construction Estimator, you will own the pricing of tenant improvement and renovation projects from first plan review through clean handoff to operations. Your work directly impacts profitability, execution quality, and long-term reputation. Winning in this role means delivering accurate, organized, and defensible estimates; leveling subcontractor bids with clarity; identifying scope gaps before they hit the field; and continuously improving your cost history and process.
Responsibilities
We celebrate diversity and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
