RECEPTIONIST - EYE CLINIC
Clinic Hours:
M-F, 8-5
Summary:
Represents the clinic in a courteous, efficient and professional
manner by answering and making all necessary telephone calls, greeting and registering patients to see the doctors. Keeping up with medical records, filing and pulling charts. This individual will experience close interaction with Physicians, Nursing Personnel and other Clinic Support Staff.

Duties:
1. Greets patients.
2. Checks patients in to see Doctors.
3. Answers phones and takes messages.
4. Pull and file back medical charts.
5. Place loose paperwork in charts.
6. Get charts ready for office visit.
7. Copy medical records.
8. Place dictation in appropriate chart.
9. Receive payments from patients toward their account and issue receipt.
10. Discuss account with patients.
11. Work up charge tickets.
12. Set up new patients.
13. Transfer phones to service at end of day.
14. Refraction forms signed and sent off.
15. Diabetic exam sheets sent to app. Doctors.
16. Deceased list/purge charts.

Qualifications:
1. High School Graduate or equivalent.
2. Previous reception experience or background.
3. Previous public contact work and telephone work.
4. Background and knowledge of computers.
