Duties
- Carefully sand and smooth vehicle surfaces using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Mask off areas such as windows, trim, and other components to protect them during the painting process.
- Mix and apply primer coats with precision, ensuring even coverage and proper surface preparation.
- Use airless paint spraying equipment to apply base coats and clear coats efficiently and accurately.
- Inspect vehicles for imperfections, dents, or surface irregularities; perform minor auto body repairs or coordinate with mechanics for larger issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated.
- Assist with auto glass installation, buffing, detailing, and other restoration tasks as needed to support the overall quality of the vehicle.
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience or background in auto body repair is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems related to vehicle repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and auto painting equipment including airless sprayers.
- Experience with auto restoration, detailing, buffing, and auto glass installation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto estimating processes.
- Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment safely; physical stamina for prolonged standing and manual work.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and communication.
