FLSA Status: Exempt (Salary)
Supervisory Responsibility: Yes (Delivery Drivers and Dispatch Support)
Employment Type: Full-time
Travel Requirements: Up to 20% (including weekly travel to Santa Fe Springs)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (flexibility for early start times, extended hours, and business needs)
Salary Range: $71,000–$75,000 annually (Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications in line with company pay practices. The Company reserves the right to adjust compensation based on factors including experience, performance, market conditions, and internal equity, consistent with applicable law.)
Company Operational Summary
Collision Auto Parts, comprised of three entities that operate distribution facilities across California and New Mexico, is a leading value-added distributor of certified and non-certified aftermarket collision repair parts. COL’s product categories include bumper covers, grilles, fender lines, hoods, tail lamps, head lamps and others. Collision Auto Parts utilizes a robust fleet of trucks to deliver parts to customers on a daily basis. Through tenured supplier relationships and a dedicated commitment to customer service, the Company has been able to develop and maintain strong customer relationships with national and regional MSOs and local collision repair providers.
Job Summary
The Operations and Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for overseeing delivery operations, driver performance, fleet management, and loss prevention efforts across Southern California. This role provides direct, on-site leadership to drivers and dispatch support staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
This position will be primarily based in San Diego and will provide weekly on-site support in Santa Fe Springs to ensure alignment in execution, communication, and operational standards.
The Supervisor is responsible for proactively identifying operational risks, improving processes, and ensuring accountability across driver safety, vehicle maintenance, and loss prevention practices.
Specifications of Responsibilities
Operations and Driver Leadership
• Provide daily leadership, direction, and coaching to delivery drivers and dispatch support staff
• Ensure drivers meet expectations related to safety, productivity, customer service, and professionalism
• Monitor driver performance, attendance, and route execution; address gaps in real time
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of drivers
• Partner with the Dispatch Lead to ensure consistent execution across locations
• Support corrective action and performance management in alignment with company practices
Delivery Operations and Execution
• Oversee daily delivery operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction
• Monitor route efficiency, missed deliveries, and service issues; implement improvements
• Partner with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure alignment on priorities and execution
• Support escalation and resolution of delivery-related issues
Fleet and Vehicle Management
• Oversee vehicle condition, cleanliness, and readiness across assigned locations
• Ensure completion of vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, and required documentation
• Monitor and address mechanical issues, downtime, and repair coordination
• Support vendor coordination for maintenance and repairs as needed
• Ensure compliance with company standards for vehicle use and care
Safety and Compliance
• Enforce adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability across driver operations
• Ensure compliance with California meal and rest period requirements for non-exempt drivers
• Monitor driver conduct and address unsafe behaviors promptly
• Oversee incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up for accidents or safety concerns
Loss Prevention and Risk Management
• Lead loss prevention efforts across delivery operations, including cash handling, product loss, and incident tracking
• Identify trends related to shrink, damage, or operational loss and implement corrective actions
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of incidents, discrepancies, and claims
• Partner with leadership to reduce operational risk and improve controls
• Support investigations related to delivery incidents, losses, or policy violations
Cross-Site Operational Alignment
• Travel to Santa Fe Springs on a weekly basis to provide on-site leadership and support
• Ensure consistency in processes, communication, and expectations across Southern California operations
• Partner with the Working Lead and local teams to drive alignment and accountability
• Identify and implement best practices across locations
Hands-On Operational Support
• Provide hands-on support during high-volume periods, staffing gaps, or operational needs
• Assist with deliveries, staging, loading, or warehouse coordination as needed
• Maintain visibility into day-to-day operations to proactively identify and address issues
Performance Metrics and Success Measures
• Reduction in driver-related incidents, accidents, and safety violations
• On-time delivery performance and reduction in missed or delayed deliveries
• Vehicle inspection and preventative maintenance compliance rates
• Reduction in vehicle downtime and repair-related disruptions
• Loss prevention metrics including reduction in product loss, damage, and cash discrepancies
• Accuracy and timeliness of incident reporting and documentation
• Driver retention and reduction in turnover within the driver population
• Improvement in route efficiency and productivity across delivery operations
• Compliance with meal and rest period requirements for California-based drivers
• Responsiveness and resolution time for operational and delivery issues
• Consistency in execution and performance across San Diego and Santa Fe Springs locations
Qualifications Required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in delivery, fleet, logistics, or field operations required
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Experience managing drivers, fleet operations, or distribution environments strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and operational best practices
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and hold teams accountable
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds as needed
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles including box trucks (as applicable)
• Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor environments
