We are looking for a CNC Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to:
Duties
- Set up and operate of CNC lathes, CNC machining centers, small manual lathe, custom slitters, and broach presses in the machine shop
- Develop new part programming based on other like programs and modify existing programs for CNC lathes and machining Centers to meet production requirements and quality standards
- Obtain and use any needed inspection equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gage and bore gages to properly measure components and use while running equipment
- Operate several pieces of equipment simultaneously. For example, loading parts on one machine while another is running
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications
- Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assemble small parts at manual assembly stations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or stamping presses within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in tooling setup, fixture installation, and basic machine maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings; understanding GD&T standards.
- Skilled in using hand tools like calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Knowledge of Mazak controls and operation is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during setup and inspection processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.92 per hour
