Small work comp department at a civil lit firm is seeking an associate attorney to join our legal team. We're looking for someone capable of managing their own caseload working with self-insureds and high-retention clients, experience working with school districts is a plus. Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in California.
- Ideally 3 years of experience as a California workers' compensation attorney, or equivalent related experience.
- Ability to handle own caseload without someone constantly looking over your shoulder.
- Familiarity with litigation procedures including hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Outstanding analytical thinking combined with effective communication skills to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
Salary depends on experience.
