About the Role
We are seeking an Elder Law Attorney who is not only skilled in legal practice but also motivated to grow their own client base and referral network.
This role is ideal for an attorney with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building relationships in the community and contributing directly to the firm’s growth.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on Medicaid planning, estate planning, veterans’ benefits, and asset protection
- Draft, review, and implement legal documents and strategies
- Conduct client consultations and develop customized planning solutions
- Represent clients in legal proceedings as needed
- Perform legal research and stay current on elder law regulations
Business Development & Marketing:
- Actively generate new clients and matters through networking and outreach
- Build and maintain referral relationships with financial advisors, healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organizations
- Participate in seminars, workshops, and community education events
- Contribute to the firm’s marketing and growth initiatives
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Ohio law license (required)
- Strong drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
- Compassionate approach when working with older adults and families
Preferred:
- Proven ability (or strong interest) in business development and client generation
- Experience building referral networks and professional relationships
