Calling all undergrad civil engineering students!
Collins offers an opportunity for a civil engineering student to gain experience doing structural inspections. The Chicago, IL, office has an opening for a Civil/Site Engineering Intern position for Summer 2026. This position will be a combination of office and time in the field.
Your impact on real life projects includes the following but not limited to:
- Focuses primarily on civil/site design.
- Assist in the completion of reports.
- Properly check other team member’s calculations.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Previous software experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blue Beam, or Civil 3D is a plus.
- Previous software experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software is a plus.
- A valid driver's license.
