Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Bridge Design-Senior Engineer to be an integral part of our team in Denver, Colorado. This role will be responsible for leading and managing the bridge designs for a variety of infrastructure projects throughout the Western United States. We are looking for experience with plan, specification, and estimate packages as well as load rating experience. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate, lead, and review designs for a variety of bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, assuming responsibility for design plans and calculations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good communication skills and a solutions-based approach.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge design projects, from concept to construction, while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide design recommendations, and address any concerns or questions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise staff as necessary to complete assignments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional engineer (P.E.) license is required; structural engineer (S.E.) certification preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in bridge design, including 2 years at the Project Manager/EOR level.
  • Experience working with DOTs and/or municipalities.
  • Proven experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design and DOT design guidelines.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis and bridge design software.
  • Demonstrated success in managing preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates, as well as project scheduling and subcontractor management.

Salary : $125,000 - $145,000
