Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist will manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple client accounts. This role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll for multiple clients.
- Maintain and update employee records, wage information, and tax data.
- Review timesheets, PTO, and deductions to ensure accurate payroll calculations.
- Handle payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist clients with payroll-related inquiries.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and support year-end processes (W-2s, 1099s).
- Collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure smooth client service delivery.
- Monitor changes in wage laws and payroll regulations.
Qualifications
- 5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a CPA or multi-client environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, Gusto, or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
